-- time tag: spring, a month or so before the Diplomacy plot --
Lysander smiled as he walked through the main entrance to the menagerie. He liked to come here, sometimes. It helped him to think. He was, by nature, a very outgoing guy, but sometimes he just liked to think. Not that he would turn away any company, mark you. Perhaps one person, for a nice chat. But his brain couldn't handle more.
'Sander, or Lysander Alevi, was the Commander of the second rider group, Ghostwind. They'd suffered two losses, at their last skirmish with Scanran raiders. Two dead - a man, and a young woman, and three injured - including himself. He'd taken a nasty arrow to the arm, but the thick bandages weren't visible through the loose, dark green shirt he was wearing. It was some food for thought. Being a commander was an honour, oh yes, but a big responsability and a terrible burden. and when things like this happened....
He wished he could talk to Elaine, his older sister. She was good with these things. Judging by the bell, though, he had only about froty-five minutes before he had to return to headquarters, not enough time to ride down to the Dove - where she worked. Oh, well. He'd have to be content until he could. He knew things like this would happen when he'd taken on the position, but... oh, he got cocky. It didn't affect his group, it didn't account for the losses, but it accounted for the terrible shock he'd had. He never thought he'd lose any of his Riders.
He sighed, leaning over the fish pond and running his fingers through the water, watching the ripples spread. "My, you are pretty things," he siad quietly, watching the bright red fish swim past. He chuckled - why, such things were worthy of Cam, not him! - and shook the water of his fingers and turned around -
- only to walk straight into a young woman, who was rather pretty herself. "Oh, my," he said, smiling apologectically. "Apologies, miss. Are you alright?" He lookde the woman over. Nobility, obviously, by the way she walked and the clothes she wore. And some Yamani blood in there, somewhere. He winked at her, grinning, "No harm done?

Sapphire slipped into the menagerie and breathed a sigh of relief. She valued the precious sweet moments of free time that she was givin and this was a perfect place to spend it. She looked at the tall lucious trees and inhaled the sweet scents of the many exotic plants that were kept in this special menagerie. She looked up and sighed once more. The delegation preparations were tough, not hard exactly, but long and tiring. As one of the main delegates, she had hardly gotten any sleep over the past few weeks. With only a month or so to go, she was up late into the night, preparing and running over the many finer details of the delegation. She had slipped out of some meetings that she didn't really need to attend. Well, maybe she did, but she needed some time to think.
She wandered down the menagerie towards the fish ponds. Those little fish had it good. All they had to do was swim around all day and be fed. But she loved to look at them. Their bright colours fuelled her imagination and brightened up her otherwise dull world. Those fish were beautiful. Bright and cheerful and beautiful. The same could not be said for Sapphire at that moment. She wore a dark blue dress that had a full circle skirt. It was a summery dress that allowed the sun to shine on her skin. Her hair had beenpulled up into a loose messy knot. Her dress may have been pretty, but exhaution was not appealing.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice the other person in the menagerie. She walked straight into him as a matter of fact.
"Oh, my," he said, smiling apologectically. "Apologies, miss. Are you alright?"
She smiled up at him, "No it was my fault, and I am fine, thank you." she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear- as she was prone to do- and looked up at the, rather handsome man, "Are you okay?"
He winked at her, grinning, "No harm done?
"Nope, no harm done," she grinned at him and held out her hand, "Sapphire of Beliseare, pleased to meet you."

"No it was my fault, and I am fine, thank you. Are you okay?"
Lysander grinned at the young lady. She was obviously very tired, although still attractive. And Sander... well, Sander was always Mr. Charming. "Better than ever, mi'lady," he told her, bowing appopriately. "The fault is all mine, I'm afraid. May I enquire as to your name?" he asked her, intrigued. She was obviously a noblewoman, but she looked as if she actually worked for a living. He wondered what she did - she wasn't a fighter, that was for sure. her hair and ahnds told him as much. Curiouser and curiouser.
"Nope, no harm done. Sapphire of Beliseare, pleased to meet you."
Lysander shook the outstretched hand, then kissed it. Chivalrous as ever, he liked the ideals of courtesy and politeness. When they were earned, of course. There was no use being nice to a stuffy old lady who looked down her nose at him, and of course - courtesy should always be treated with respect. "Lysander Alevi, miss," he said warmly, letting go of her hand. "Charmed. Are you sure you're quite alright?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. For a Yamani woman, she looked startlingly pale - which was only emphasized by her dark blue dressed.

Sapphire raised her eyebrows slightly at the - chivalrous? - young man. Hmm, the last time that had happened to her was quite a long time ago. Too many long hours with people she knew all to well. What a pity. And who said chivalry was dead? She shot him her best - Aren't I so stunning and wonderful - smile.
"Lysander Alevi, miss,"
"Pleasure to meet you," she said warmly. This was, well, interesting. Someone who she didn't have to spend a long tiring boat trip with. That was good. Even if the conversation lasted something of three seconds, it was a good escape from preparation, preparation, preparation. She had barely had time to eat or sleep in the past few days.
"Charmed. Are you sure you're quite alright?"
She tilted her head, "I am absolutly, positivly sure that I am fine. Just tired. Thats all really. I am not so weak as bumping into somebody would casue any damage what-so-ever to me. Really" She smiled at him, "So, what is your excuse for coming here? Everbody needs an excuse. You don't just visit the menagerie, there has to be a reason, or what is the point?"

"Pleasure to meet you."
Lysander tilted his head as he often did, sheilding his eyes from the sun with a hand over his eyes. He returned the woman's smile -and what a smile - with one of his own. Sander was very charming, easy-going, a people's person. Surprisingly enough, he wasn't a ladies' man at all. He was always too preoccupied to give thought to anything but the Riders. But Sapphire was, indeed, a very attractive woman, and he found himself smiling back at her. "I'm glad to meet you, too," he told her, mock-bowing extravagantly.
"I am absolutly, positivly sure that I am fine. Just tired. Thats all really. I am not so weak as bumping into somebody would casue any damage what-so-ever to me. Really."
"I didn't think you were that fragile, begging your pardon, miss," he told her, still concerned. He knew exhaustion when he saw it, quite honestly, being quite the workaholic himself. "You look tired out. Exhausted. Pale-like. I know about these things. I've been working meself to death for years. I'm a dead man walking, lady, but you need some rest." She raised an eyebrow at her. "You aren't 'just tired'."
"So, what is your excuse for coming here? Everbody needs an excuse. You don't just visit the menagerie, there has to be a reason, or what is the point?"
He scowled, but his eyes were sparkiling with laughter. "Don't you go changing the subject, miss," he laughed, shaking his head. He ruffled his hair, sitting on the edge of the pond and patting the space next to him. "Sit down," he told her, Ï'll humour you. I needed to think. I'm a commader in the Riders. We've been goin' through some tough times, lately. And you? What's your excuse?"

"You look tired out. Exhausted. Pale-like. I know about these things. I've been working meself to death for years. I'm a dead man walking, lady, but you need some rest."
She raised an eyebrow. So, he was quite observant. She was just tired though. Ok, maybe a little pale. But not deathly pale. Oh all right, so she was extremely tired. But still. She shrugged and looked at him expectingly. What else did he observe?
"You aren't 'just tired'."
She bit her lip an hastilly changed the subject. She wasn't known as a workaholic. She was one of those last minute types. She thought on her feet. That is part of what made her a good delegate. Well, that and the last minute research and preparation and her team of able-bodied scribes and her other delegates. She didn't want to discuss working late into the night on the delegation, or the delegation itself to a comlepetly random - however charming- stranger.
"Don't you go changing the subject, miss. Sit down. Ï'll humour you. I needed to think. I'm a commader in the Riders. We've been goin' through some tough times, lately."
She glared at him and sat down primly, "Well, thanks ever so for humouring me." She shook her head and smirked, "And whether or not I am tired really shouldn't concern you, now should it?" She changed her smirk into a smile, her bestest smile and said, "So Rider's Commander? That's impressive."
"And you? What's your excuse?"
She tugged at a loose curl and tilted her head, "My excuse? Well, I needed to escape. From the deleagtion party. I am a Yamani delegate."

"Well, thanks ever so for humouring me. And whether or not I am tired really shouldn't concern you, now should it?"
"Nay, miss," Sander said with a smile, " 'Tis my concern. Can't have you fainting on me, can I? Nay, not one as pretty as you." He chuckeld at her response, shaking her head. "But I think you've proved there's life in you, yet," he told her, mock-serious. She was probably working for the crown, a mage or a diplomat or a scribe or some such. It wasn't uncommon at all to see women in those positions in this generation. With Lady Alanna and Queen Thayet, and all them revolutionaries.
"So Rider's Commander? That's impressive."
He laughed, bending down to pluck a flower from the grass at their feet. "No, not really," he said, offering the tiny blossom to her. "Just one group. Ghostwind," he said, saying the name of his group with pride. "We've only just come back from the coast." He bit his lip and fell quiet, not wanting to remember the losses. he wasn't taking them well.
"My excuse? Well, I needed to escape. From the deleagtion party. I am a Yamani delegate."
He nodded, still slightly subdued, but he spoke with some of his signature charm. "You'll be going on the big trip next month, then? I thought so. What with Lady Rose in a tiff, and Lady Jazz still injured. You're the other misson leader? I've heard your name, I think. One of my trainees is going, too. Name's Kirra." He assessed her again, this time with the knowedge that she was a delegate. He could see it now - careful words, dressed unoffending, tired out of her mind. Mighty stubborn too.

"Nay, miss," Sander said with a smile, " 'Tis my concern. Can't have you fainting on me, can I? Nay, not one as pretty as you. But I think you've proved there's life in you, yet,"
She smiled and shook her head, "And what would you have done if i had fainted? Which I am not going to do by the way. I do not faint because of exhaution, I only faint if my magic reserves have run out. Which happens quite alot thanks to Jazz and Claw." she tugged at her curls and looked at him. Charming was probably the best word to describe him. Ah flattery, that wonderful thing that made people fall about at your feet. It was a pretty good tactic for deleagtion actually, with the right audience.
"No, not really," he said, offering the tiny blossom to her. "Just one group. Ghostwind," he said, saying the name of his group with pride. "
She smiled and took the blossom. Twirling it around in her fingers she shook her head, "I think it is impressive. I mean, you go out and risk your life, like all the time. It must be quite scary. I would hate that responsibilty." She looked up at him. Ghostwind? She had heard that name before, "I think I might have heard of your group, I can't really remember where though."
"We've only just come back from the coast."
She raised her eyebrows. Wow, that was a fast turn around from normality to subdued. She wondered what had happened. "The coast, any specific coast? Or just the coast in general?"
"You'll be going on the big trip next month, then? I thought so. What with Lady Rose in a tiff, and Lady Jazz still injured. You're the other misson leader? I've heard your name, I think. One of my trainees is going, too. Name's Kirra."
She grinned, "Well yes I am, Sapphire of Beliseare, Yamani delegate, ambassador, whatever you want to call it. It still means I have to take a lovely long boat trip, which I can [hardly wait for. " She rolled he eyes, she hated long ship journeys with a livid passion, "Rosy and Jazz are still a bit frazzled, but we should be fine I guess."
She smiled as she heard Kirra's name, "So that is where I have heard of you! You are quite legendary amongst Kirra and her friends." She grinned and tilted her head. So this was the legendary Rider's Commander, the amazing, oh-so-wonderful Commander of Kirra's group.

"And what would you have done if I had fainted? Which I am not going to do, by the way. I do not faint because of exhaustion, I only faint if my magic reserves have run out. Which happens quite a lot thanks to Jazz and Claw."
Lysander laughed, raising an eyebrow. So the kitty had claws, then. “Mi’lady is referring to Sir Claw and Lady Jasmin?” he asked, tilting his head to one side. When you lived in the palace, you hear names. Especially with the upcoming delegation. “I’ve no notion,” he said honestly, shrugging. “Never had such a lady faint on me. Though I suppose I’d have to carry you back to the palace. Now me, I wouldn’t mind so much, except I’d have a lot of explaining to do, miss.” He smirked at her, crossing his arms over his chest. This was interesting, to say the least. Fun, too.
"I think it is impressive. I mean, you go out and risk your life, like all the time. It must be quite scary. I would hate that responsibility. I think I might have heard of your group, I can't really remember where though."
Sander shrugged again, except this time he wasn’t joking. “Not just me, miss,” he said softly, less teasing and more serious. Casey and Michael had risked their lives, and lost them. “The rest of Ghostwind, and sixteen other Rider Groups, and that’s just the Riders. What about the Own, and all them Knight gallivanting around? It’s a hard job, to be sure, but we have to do it. We can’t have bandits goin’ ‘round and killing off all you bright ones. Then where would we be?”
"The coast, any specific coast? Or just the coast in general?"
Lysander shook his head, leaning back and trailing his fingers in the water again. “Down by Port Caynn, miss,” he told her, his eyes on the tiny ripples in the fishpond. He didn’t want to think about it, talk about, though he supposed he had to. He wasn’t going to bore this lovely young woman with his worries, though. She seemed to have enough of her own.
"Well yes I am, Sapphire of Beliseare, Yamani delegate, ambassador, whatever you want to call it. It still means I have to take a lovely long boat trip, which I can hardly wait for. Rosy and Jazz are still a bit frazzled, but we should be fine I guess."
Lysander smiled slightly, shaking his head. “Nay again, miss. You’ll do fine, the delightful lass that you are. It’s not peace talks – I mean, Shinkokami is our Queen. It’s just re-negotiations. How badly can they go?” Sander winked, tugging on the sleeve of his shirt. He was no diplomat, but Lysander had eyes and ears. That’s all you need in a palace full of chatter.
He grinned outright when Sapphire mentioned Kirra. “Don’t you believe a word of it, miss,” he said sternly. “Kirra and Riana’s opinions on my training methods cannot be trusted!” He struggled to keep a straight face, then gave up and chuckled. He liked trainees and vice versa; indeed, Rider Groups tended to become very close.

“Mi’lady is referring to Sir Claw and Lady Jasmin?”
She grinned, "Um that would be correct. Jazz and Claw. Those two will be the death of me." she rolled her eyes, remembering the countless times that she had to mend whatever bone that Jazz and/or Claw had broken.
"I've no notion,” he said honestly, shrugging. “Never had such a lady faint on me. Though I suppose I’d have to carry you back to the palace. Now me, I wouldn’t mind so much, except I’d have a lot of explaining to do, miss.”
She raised her eybrows at this. "Oh you would, would you? And here I was thinking you were respectable. And yes, you would have alot of explaining to do." She grinned and tilted her head, "To alot of different people." She smirked at him and tugged at her curls. "So you wouldn't just leave me then?"
“Not just me, miss. The rest of Ghostwind, and sixteen other Rider Groups, and that’s just the Riders. What about the Own, and all them Knight gallivanting around? It’s a hard job, to be sure, but we have to do it. We can’t have bandits goin’ ‘round and killing off all you bright ones. Then where would we be?”
She smiled at him, "You still risk your life. Whether you do it with others or not makes no difference to that." She tilted her head, "And I am not that bright you know." She grinned at him. He was interesting and different. She liked that. Change was good for the mind. It took your thoughts away from more unpleasant things such as long bout journeys and bad tasting pie. And evil and death.
"Nay again, miss. You’ll do fine, the delightful lass that you are. It’s not peace talks – I mean, Shinkokami is our Queen. It’s just re-negotiations. How badly can they go?”
She shrugged and looked up at him, how badly could they go? They would probably be fine. But she had a bad feeling about the upcoming trip. She couldn't explain what, but something bad was going to happan. "You're probably right, they will probably be brilliant and I will end up having an amazing trip. But you never know." She frowned, this diplomacy thing had been playing on her mind for far to long. It was starting to annoy.
“Don’t you believe a word of it, miss, Kirra and Riana’s opinions on my training methods cannot be trusted!”
She raised her eyebrow, "Well now, are you sure I shouldn't believe all of it? Becuase some of it was pretty, um, interesting! And some of it was good! They think you are a great commander-person!" She grinned her bestest grin.

"Um, that would be correct. Jazz and Claw. Those two will be the death of me."
Lysander nodded, but didn't say anything. He'd never met either of them, but he'd heard stories - of course. There was a whole lot of tales that spoke about the strange adventures hey'd all had. There was also the Masbolle war. Sander had been there, but only in the thick of the fighting - he hadn't seen any of the really important things happening. Well, he thought, smiling, I've got myself a girl with a story.
"Oh you would, would you? And here I was thinking you were respectable. And yes, you would have alot of explaining to do. To alot of different people. So you wouldn't just leave me then?"
Lysander laughed, completely and absolutely charmed by the young woman. She tugged on one of her curls, which looked so inquisitive and endearing that he was sure she'd paid for them locks. "Not me, miss," he told her, "Nay! Not you. And aye, lots of explaining, miss. But I could do it if the situation so arised." He winked at her, plucking the flower from her fingers and nestling it in her hair.
"You still risk your life. Whether you do it with others or not makes no difference to that. And I am not that bright you know."
He returned Sapphire's grin, although he wasn't as joking. "I beg to differ. You are a majestically smart person, as far a I know. And I'm good at that, so don't argue," he said, ignoring the first part of her speech. He really didn't want to get started on it. Risking his life... well, he'd rather just not go there. It was an uncomfortable subject.
"You're probably right, they will probably be brilliant and I will end up having an amazing trip. But you never know."
He raised an eyebrow, and titled her head up so that she was looking at him. "You don't think it'll go well? You can't fool me, I've soldiers intuition, remember? And I know intuition when I see it. What's wrong?" He frowned, thinking. He knew the feeling as well as anyone - it should go well, but sometimes you just had that feeling...
"Well now, are you sure I shouldn't believe all of it? Becuase some of it was pretty, um, interesting! And some of it was good! They think you are a great commander-person!"
"Interesting?" he groaned. "I'm grateful for your compliments, but it can't all be good! What'd they say?" he laughed, dragging a hand through the pond. He brought his hand up and flicked his fingers, sprinkling water on his new acquaintance.

"Not me, miss. Nay! Not you. And aye, lots of explaining, miss. But I could do it if the situation so arised."
Sapphire raised her eyebrows. This was so fun and new and intereting. And un-delegationish! This was different and nice. This was good, very good. She Smiled as he tucked the flower into her hair. This was very good indeed! She grinned at him, "Are you sure you wouldn't leave me? I would totally leave you, I mean me being so small and fragile and all!"
"I beg to differ. You are a majestically smart person, as far a I know. And I'm good at that, so don't argue,"
She nodded, "I don't think so really, though I am amazingly beautiful and wonderful in everyway way imaginable, but I am not majestically smart!" she grinned, "Ok, so I am not amazingly beautiful and wonderful in everyway way imaginable, but still, it is good to tell yourself that every once in a while." She tilted her head, "And you seem to be pretty clever yourself, so stop handing out compliments, not matter how oh-so-flattering they may be!"
"You don't think it'll go well? You can't fool me, I've soldiers intuition, remember? And I know intuition when I see it. What's wrong?" She frowned as he said this, the thing was, she didn't really know what was wrong, just that it was. Wrong. She shook her head, "I don't know, I just have a bad feeling about it. Though it may just be pre-long boat trip nerves. But I could be right. I really don't know!" She shrugged. The delegation was well prepared -boy did she know it- and it probably wouldn't fail. Hopefully.
"Interesting?" he groaned. "I'm grateful for your compliments, but it can't all be good! What'd they say?"
She gighled as she was sprinkled with water, "Weeellll, most of it was good, some of it was entertaining, and none of it involved getting flicked withwater!" She grinned and trailed her fingers in the water. She looked up at him and smirked, flicking water back.

"Are you sure you wouldn't leave me? I would totally leave you, I mean me being so small and fragile and all!"
Sander held a hand to his chest, in mock offense. ”Well, mi’lady Sapphire, I am deeply hurt by your cruel remarks. A, I would never leave you, all fragile and helpless and unconscious, and two,” he continued, ]“Why would you leave me, me being such a wonderful lad, who thinks two comes after A.” He laughed, and grinned. “I may not be respectable, miss, but I know my alphabet, I assure you.”
"I don't think so really, though I am amazingly beautiful and wonderful in everyway way imaginable, but I am not majestically smart! Lysander raised an eyebrow, skeptical. “Don’t you like my compliments? I was under the impression that they made me seem adorable. Well, my sister told me so, and I trusted her. Proves you can’t rely on family, then.” He bowed, a bit difficult since he was sitting. ”And, as I, unlike some people, are not in denial, admit that I am, indeed, smart. Smart enough to tell the smart people from the rest of the dreary world.”
"I don't know, I just have a bad feeling about it. Though it may just be pre-long boat trip nerves. But I could be right. I really don't know!"
He sighed, retaking possession of his hand. ” ’Tis difficult, miss,” he told her, ”Indeed. I know the feeling. You just have to prepare as best you can, and wait and see what happens. You never know ‘till you get there.” Lysander shook his head, somewhat sadly, then smiled. ”My, what profound words for a lowly Rider!”
"Weeellll, most of it was good, some of it was entertaining, and none of it involved getting flicked withwater!"
”Entertaining? That doesn’t sound too good, although mi’lady, being splashed with water is a wonder for the tired mind.” He grinned, splashing her slightly with water then jumping up out of her reach.

Well well! She mock-sighed, "Oh, what a pity! And here I was thinking you didn't! Such a shame!" she grinned wickedly, "Oh and so you know. I would leave you!" she smirked at him, "Becuase I am oh so dainty and fragile. And you aren't that wonderful!"
“Don’t you like my compliments? I was under the impression that they made me seem adorable. Well, my sister told me so, and I trusted her. Smart enough to tell the smart people from the rest of the dreary world.”
She arched an eyebrow. Hm. How charming was he? This was a very interseting -and compliment filled- conversation. She grinned and tilted her head, "Ok, so maybe I am amazingly beautiful and wonderful in everyway way imaginable. And maybe you are smart. and just the slightest bit adorable. Just the slightest. I mean, in the few minutes that I have known you, you have shown some flaw, such as the overuse of the word 'nay' for instance. But hey, I think your sister sounds like a rather clever person." She tugged at her curls and thought for a second, "You are slightly adorable, overuse the word nay, and seem to love handing out compliments. All in all, a very interesting combination!" she concluded with a grin.
”’Tis difficult, miss. Indeed. I know the feeling. You just have to prepare as best you can, and wait and see what happens. You never know ‘till you get there. My, what profound words for a lowly Rider!”
She frowned and shook her head once more, "I guess, it all depends on how you interperate it. You could say it is nerves and you could say it is instinct. But you are right, you never really know. The whole world is one big interperatation. It all depends on whether you are correct or not. And even when the situation arises it still sort of depends on the interperitaion." She smiled and said, "There, now what profound words from a delegate!"
”Entertaining? That doesn’t sound too good, although mi’lady, being splashed with water is a wonder for the tired mind.”
She glared at him, "Oh it is, is it? Well then, you look very tired yourself!" She scooped up some water and walked carefully to him. "I think you should, um, feel the wonder!" she grinned as she slowly tipped the water onto him, "Better?"

"Oh, what a pity! And here I was thinking you didn't! Such a shame! Oh and so you know. I would leave you! Becuase I am oh so dainty and fragile. And you aren't that wonderful!"
Sander pouted, although his eyes gave away the game. He was enjoying this. "Even so," he persisted, "Not even out of the goodness of your heart? I've heard mi'lady is a powerful mage. You wouldn't have any problems, as dainty and fragile as you are." He sighed, scuffing his foot on the ground, looking forlorn. "I am devastated!" he announced, stamping his foot. "There are no words."
"Ok, so maybe I am amazingly beautiful and wonderful in everyway way imaginable. And maybe you are smart. and just the slightest bit adorable. Just the slightest. "Well, miss, I never said I was perfect. Interesting, perhaps, but not perfect. And don't you comdemn by lower Corus lingo, Lady Sapphire. I'll have you know that there are commoners that speak worse then me." He grinned back at her, somewhat triumphant. "And so she admits my adorable-ness....ness... You, milady, are not wonderful in every way imaginable, because that would be unfair. You should not, however, be allowed to tilt your head like that or pull on your curls. How is a man supposed to concentrate?"
"I guess, it all depends on how you interperate it. You could say it is nerves and you could say it is instinct. But you are right, you never really know. The whole world is one big interperatation. It all depends on whether you are correct or not. And even when the situation arises it still sort of depends on the interperitaion. There, now what profound words from a delegate!"
He laughed, and saluted her. "I was under the impression that delegates were meant to be prfound," he told her. She was so terribly sweet and... random, and, well, truthful. "Any which way, miss, youa re accurate. It doesn't mean that nerves and instinct are not necessarily always different." He shrugged, ruffling his hair. He'd given a lot of thought to it, in the past. SOmetimes it's paranoia, but other times... well, he'd rather not go there.
"Oh it is, is it? Well then, you look very tired yourself! I think you should, um, feel the wonder! Better?" "How unladylike, Lady Sapphire," he drawled, raising a sceptical eyebrow. "Although yes, much better!" He skipped away from her, easily and nimbly from years of training. his storm-grey eyes danced with laughter as he bowed to her, the perfect bow. "I, however, am not near as tired as you are!" he exclaimed, dragging his hand through the water and splashing his new acquaintance. He laughed, shrugging, and stepped out of her reach.
