21

11 August
[Place of Birth:]
Corus, Tortall
[Residence:]
Queen’s Riders’ HQ
[Class:]

[Title/rank:]
Commander
[Alignment:]
Good
[Occupation:]
Queen’s Rider, commander of the First Rider’s Group
[Appearance:]
Lysander, built much like his two older sisters, is tall, standing at an imposing 6 feet. He is slim and well-muscled, graceful and moves with natural ease. He is quite strong, as well as lithe and agile and is an excellent fighter - years worth of training gave him that. Being of mixed Carthaki and Tortallan descent, his skin is a creamy brown - not as dark as Camaria’s, or his mother’s, but much darker than his Tortallan friends. His skin is littered with battle scars, and he has a large burn mark across his left side, a souvenir from a fire that he and Camaria had experienced.
His hair is black, as curly and unmanagable as Camaria’s. Unlike his older sister, however, Sander keeps his cut short so that it does not bother him. He is actually quite handsome, but has failed to realize this as of yet. His features are delicate and sharp, almost feline, with prominent cheekbones, and soft mouth which is quick to smile. Beauty runs in the Alevi blood, or so he has been told. He’s also inherited the storm-gray eyes that runs so noticeably in the family. His eyes are very expressive and lend a feminine look to his face, framed by long, curly lashes.
[Attire:]
Lysander doesn’t care much for pretty clothes; all his clothes are inexpensive, well-made, sturdy and easy to wash. Breeches, shirts and tunics, as well as the occasional armour make up his wardrobe; official Rider’s uniform (with the stripes, signifying his role of commander) worn only for special occasions. Well made but flexible riding boots are his choice of footwear; you’ll never catch him in anything else.
Truth be told, he thinks the uniform is quite stupid. He is, after all, a Rider - not a gentleman. Clothes like that are not for people who lead a life like his.
[Personality:]
The three Alevi kids are startlingly different. In actuality, there are many common traits that they sahre, although you’d be hard pressed to find them
Lysander is a pretty laid-back, easy going guy. He never stresses over nothing, and has the rare ability to see things in perspective. He’s quick to smile, and to laugh, and is good around people. He can make anyone feel at ease, and is an very good at talking to others. his people sills are quite advanced, and he’s very talented at reading people. Lysander has pretty good instincts, especially about people. The baby of his family, he is starkly independant because of the fact that his family was always fussing about him. From a young age he’d run off, just to be able to be himself without people worrying over him.
He’s relaxed, although he can snap into his more serious commander state when the situation calls for it. Sander is most definitely a natural leader; he’s good at simply taking control, at organization and he’s very fair. He is very good with logic, tactics and strategy, his intellegence being more that of actual thought than knowledge. Perhaps the most common aspect in all the Alevi children, is an insatiable curiosity – and, stemming from that, the uncanny knack to be in the wrong place, at the right time.
[Beliefs – personal and political:]
Equality. You cannot be a Rider if you do not be in equality, lest you want trouble. He believe sthe government should be for the people, and that the commoners are entitles to security.
[Fears:]
Failing the Rider’s, messing up a mission, losing his family. Slightly claustrophobic.
[Likes:]
Talking, riding, archery. Also has a fondness for alcohol, though stops short of getting out of hand.
[Dislikes]
Ornamental armour/uniform, plain/boring terrain, pessimists
[Quirks:]
Very ticklish. It’s the funniest thing – the slightest touch will have him in stitches.
[Weapons:]
Longbow – highly advanced skills [preffered]
Crossbow – skilled
Sword – highly skilled
Hand-to-hand – skilled
Dagger – highly skilled
Staff – highly skilled
Lance, Mace, Battleaxe – no skill to speak of
[Inventory:]
Not much. Just his tack, etc.
[Strengths:]
Most weaponry – particularly archery. He has an amazing eye and an even better aim. Speed, agility. Riding, determination leadership, excellent people skills
[Weaknesses:]
Non-Rider weapons, physical strength. No magic, uncanny bad luck. Tendancy to talk back to authorities, stubborn.
[Magic:]
None to speak of
[Goal:]
Elevate in rank inside the Riders.
[Family:]
Sister: Elsmari Alevi – 25 – Waitress in the Dancing Dove
Sister: Camaria Alevi – 24 - Mage, Scholar, Cartographer
Mother: Silvia Alevi – 47 – Dressmaker
Father: Richard Aveli – 49 – Blacksmith
[Lover:]
None
[Familiar/Pet:]
Two horses, both of which he is very fond of. Melody, a spirited mare, named after a friend of his that died in battle, and Arrow, a gelding.
[History:]
Not much new. Last born of the Alevi family, he was pretty much babied for most of his life – causing a strong streak of independence. From a very young age, it was determined that – unlike his sister Camaria – he did not have any magic to speak of. He learned his basic education at the school in Corus, learning how to read, write and other such things. It was clear from a very early age that he had a knack for dealing with horses and for archery; he’d also wanted to be a Rider for as long as he could remember.
So there was no doubt that, when he turned fifteen, he would go off for training to become a Queen’s Rider. Taining was hard, but he stuck it out; he survived his probationary year without much trouble. Once he was a fully-fledged Rider he quickly elevated through the ranks, eventually becoming the commander of the First Rider Group.
