[Appearance:]
Cam’s Carthaki lineage is clear in her looks. She’s pretty, certainly, but pales in comparison with her sister. She doesn’t wish to be, either, seeing how her sister always gets so upset when a curl in out of place. by Cam’s reckoning, beauty is nothing but trouble.
She is about average height and weight, her body structure not very muscled, but rather curvy [taking after her mother]. She has creamy brown skin, a mixture between the dark chocolate brown of her mother, and the pale, white skin of her father. Her skin is littered with beauty spots, and she has a large burn mark spreading across her left forearm from a cooking incident as a child.
She has thick, straight and easily knotted hair that falls down in a multitude of ebony braids to her shoulders. She prefers it that was, grateful that it isn’t always getting in her eyes. Speaking of which, her eyes are a stormy grey, hidden behind clear, steel rimmed glasses. She’s blind as a bat without them. Her eyebrows are proudly arched, again an attribute passed down from mother to daughter. Her features are sharp: a small nose, high, angular cheekbones and thin lips.
[Attire:]
Camaria’s wardrobe is greatly varied. Being a commoner, and only just able to affrod the university fees, she doesn’t own any expensive clothing. All her clothes, however, to look fine and as of good quality. Breeches and shirts, accompanied by the occasional dress are her everyday wear. Most prominent is the Purple Mage’s Robe that she has to wear to formal academic functions. Soft, deerskin boots are, of course, the best option for the many floored university.

[Personality:]
Camaria’s personality can seem very contradictory at times. On the one hand, she loves books and history and other documents, but on the other hand she loves to travel and explore, to see new places and feel the wind in her hair. Cam is a young woman with a taste for life. Very intelligent, she makes the perfect scholar. She loves her books and can spend hours on end reading or writing, sometimes even forgetting to eat. Contrarily, Cam loves to travel and adventure. Perhaps to link for these two personality aspects is a love for learning.
Ever since she was a young child her curiosity has been prominent. Plaguing her parents with questions as a child, and learning to consult texts and maps when she was older, her insatiable thirst for knowledge was never satisfied.
She’s a calm, solid young woman and a bit of a dreamer. She’s neither quiet nor overly talkative, neither a recluse nor a social butterfly. Camaria likes where she is at the present stage, a nice balance between the different aspects. She is, however, a friendly young woman, always open to starting a conversation of making a new friend.
She has a steady hand and the concentration, patience and detailed observation skills required in the art of cartography – that is, drawing maps. She loves to map, and it also gives her a chance to travel. And, as perfectionism and wonderful observation reign, her map are quite possibly the best around.
Beliefs – personal and political:]
She basically believes in all the ideals of equality, and that a governemnt should be for the people, not above them. She believes that everybody is talented, they just have to find it and work to their best potential.
[Fears:]
The usual [friends and family dying, etc], out of control magic
[Likes:]
Cartography, reading, learning, discovery, travelling
[Dislikes]
Stuck up people, having her quiet moment interrupted, full responsability
[Quirks:]
Tugs on an earring when thinking.
[ m a t e r i a l ]

Dagger – Highly Skilled
Hand-to-Hand – Acceptable

[ a t t r i b u t e s]

Strong magic, very intelligent and knowledgeable, good cartographer, skilled with languages

[History:]
If you want a whirlwind romance, a disaproving family, rich girl and poor guy… you’re a generation too late.
Cam’s parents were, esentially, the love story of the decade. A poor ship boy visiting Carthak falls in love with a rich, native merchant girl… whose family highly disappears. It was the kind of thing revered by the Players. Cam, however, had no such luck in the field of wonderfully exciting histories.
She was brought up by her parents [who, incedentally, had eloped] in a nice part of Corus, the eldest of three children. Amidst a lot of fighting with her two siblings, Camaria somehow grew up to be a perfectly fucntional, if strange, child. It was a happy childhood, with loving parenst, annoying-but-loving siblings, and a good education, thanks to the initiative of Thayet I. It was apparent from a very young age that she had magic, and strong magic at that. Somehow, just somehow, the family managed to scrape up the money when she came of age.
She’d always wanted to go to the University. She wasn’t excedingly beautiful, like her sister, or wonderful Rider material, like Lysander – but she made a perfect scholar. She loved reading and writing, and her talent for mapping was discovered not far into her first year. The talented mage climbed up the magci ladder until she reached where she is today – Purple. One step below Black. And she seems to be unable to get there. and it’s driving her crazy. So now she’s travelling the world, a dream she’d had since her mother told her about the foreign lands of Carthak.
