Holly's deft fingers sorted through the day's earnings, counting them out and placing them in seperate packets. It was a matter of urgency: she had to do something, or she might burst. She was strictly forbidden from daydreaming while she was watching the stall, and her life seemed currently devoid of activity.
It always happened. The stall was buzzing when her father handled it, and she was off doing deliveries and shopping. But when Holly was needed to watch the stall, it suddenly became invisible and no one cared for honey. It was a sad truth in an otherwise acceptable life.
The money sorted, she turned to the products, arranging them skillfully. Honey was there, of course, among beeswax things - such as hair products - among others. Setting the sign so it could be seen clearly, she completed it and looked at it with appreciation. It was exactly the same as five minutes ago, when she had last rearranged it.
She slumped back in the chair, fingering the blue material of her dress. It was heavy, yes, but it was warm. The snow had finally stopped falling, and the skies were clear - for now, at least. The hems of her skirts were soaked through, and her hair was threaded with snow.
She sighed and whistled a tune underneath her breath, her eyes searching for her father. Joshua McKaylen was a punctual man, but alas! he was free for as long as he liked. Rolling her eyes, she turned her attention back to the stall. Hail Mithros! Someone approached the stall!
She considered hugging the person and thanking them to death, but dead customers were not good customers. Besides, she doubted the person would be grateful. She opted for a more... civilized approach.
"Good morning! Holly McKaylen at your service. Can I help you?"

Sapphire walked into the stall and a grin creeped onto her face. Honey! That was unusual for the marketplace. But it was just what she wanted. Something sweet! She smiled warmly at the attendant, "Hi, I am looking for, well, something sweet, and this seems the place to be."
She rubbed her cold hands and looked around. There was, well, honey and all the sweet things that came with it. She inhaled the sugary smell and smiled. This was just what she needed on the very cold day. She shivered slightly and turned back to face the shop owner.
"So, what do you recommend, um, Holly?"

Rose walked over to the McKaylens stall. Rose bought Castlemaine's supply of honey from the McKaylens every time they ran out of the sweet, gooey stuff.
She rounded the corner where the stall was located. She smiled as she saw Fhire speaking with Mr. McKaylen's daughter.
"Hey Fhire! I haven't seen you for awhile? Buying honey are you? What a coincidence, me to!" she said with mock surprise.
"I need 3 large jars of your honey please." she said, counting out the gold money in her palm.

Sapphire smiled at Rose. "Hey Fhire! I haven't seen you for awhile? Buying honey are you? What a coincidence, me to!"
"Hey Rose, long time no see!!! I have actually never been here, to the stall i mean. And i am in desperate need of sweet things!" She grinned at her friend turned back to Holly, "could i have one pot of honey, some honeycomb, and anything else you suggest."
She counted her money and handed the coins to holly.

Holly smiled at her two customers. Roseanna she knew well enough - her family was an ethusiastic buyer of their honey - but she didn't know the other lady, the Yamani one. She seemed ncie enough. Holly was about to reply to the woman's request for a reccomendation when the second of the two women approached the stall. She smiled and dusted the snow off her dress, before turned to both of them and offering her greeting.
"G'day miladies!" she said warmly, while she picked out and handed out the products that Rose had asked fpr, taking the money in return. "Here you go! Thank you!" Yes, Holly was a happy young woman, and her optimism almost never ran out. Even when it was cold. Even when it was snowing.
She turned to the second woman, speaking while her hands automatically selected the items. "Nice to meet you, Lady.. Fhire, is it?" A pretty name if there ever was one. It sounded almost like fire, but not quite. "Po of honey, some honeycomb, and some honey drops which I strongly recommend. Oh, and you both can have some beeswax balm, for your lips in this atrocious weather." Picking up two little jars from the table corner, she gave them to Roseanna and Fhire. She felt generous.

"Hey Rose, long time no see!!! I have actually never been here, to the stall i mean. And i am in desperate need of sweet things!"
Rose laughed at Sapphire's last comment.
"Aren't we all in need of the occasional sweet thing? I figured I'd drop a jar of honey off at Carmine on my way home. Visit Jazz and all. Want to come along?" she asked lightly.
Just then Holly came up with her jars of honey and handed them to Rose. Rose smiled her thanks and stored them in a bag that she carried with her when she was in the market. She waited for Fhire to get her things. Then Holly handed them both another small jar.
"Oh, and you both can have some beeswax balm, for your lips in this atrocious weather."
"Thanks Holly! This'll work wonders I'm sure." she said gratefully.

She grinned, that was exactly where she had been heading. "Great minds think alike, I was just going there myself!" She looked down at her money and wondered whether it was enough.
"Nice to meet you, Lady.. Fhire, is it?"
Sapphire smiled warmly at Holly, "Sapphire really, but most people call me Fhire, which I would like to belieeve comes from my fiery personality, not just my name!" She shrugged and grinned at Rose

She took her purchases and gave Holly her additional money. "Thanks ever so. It is freezing., I don't know how some people survive. Well, we outa go, but thanks bunches." she said, 'I'll definately be back!"
