((Ok, she's only 14, but I figured I should start from the beginning))
Lianna walked to the door of the First Daughter's office with her mother. At 10 years old, her sapphire blue eyes sparkled while her brownish blond curls gleamed from their position on her head. She smoothed any wrinkles her light blue gown may have acquired on the trip to the convent from her home fief of Nond.
Isabel, Lianna's mother, knocked on the door gracefully, then waited for someone to open it. Her light blue eyes found her oldest daughter's dark ones, and she smiled a reassuring smile. She frowned as one of her daughters curls hung down, disorderly compared to the rest. She turned a fixed her daughters hair, when all of the sudden the door opened...

The First Daughter stood in the doorway, every inch the polished noblewoman. She was beautiful, no doubt about it. She had, long, straight blond hair that was in a plait down her back. She was slim, and surprisingly young; her posture was straight and she carried herself like royalty. Her face was stern, but her brown eyes were cheerful and welcoming. The Convent might not be the choice for those with dreams of equality, but no-one ever said it wasn’t a nice place. Merissa of Mt. Jacine curtsyed, ana beckoned to the newcomers with small soft hands and held the office door open.
Once they were seated, Merissa assesed the new girl – Lianne. She was reminiscent of her mother, though her eyes were darker. She was very pretty though. The First Daughter doubted there’d be any trouble with her. “Good afternoon, Lady Isabel and Lady Lianne. You are here to enlist your daughter, I presume?” she said, adressing Lianne’s mother.

Lianna stared at the young woman who stood in the doorway, then remembered her manners and dropped her eyes quickly. But not before she'd gotten a good look. The First Daughter was pretty, but her face seemed very stern. In contrast to her stern face, she had lovely brown eyes that were cheerful and brilliant. If her mother had seen her staring like that....well...she didn't want to think about it. It'd mean more lessons in ettiquette, and Lianna hated ettiquette.
Lady Isabel stepped into the First Daughter's Office, towing Lianna behind her. She sat down gracefully in a chair and beckoned for Lianna to do the same thing.
“Good afternoon, Lady Isabel and Lady Lianne. You are here to enlist your daughter, I presume?”
Isabel nodded.
"Yes, I am. We've taught her all that we could at Nond, but her father and I think its high time she gets a better education for being a Lady of her status. Just to warn you, she hates Needlework and will drag her feet at doing it. Don't let her. Usually extra ettiquette lessons do the trick." she said lightly.
In the other chair, Lianna kept silent. She hated needpoint!
This is going to be the longest 6 years of my life. she thought.

Merissa smiled warmly, and turned to the youngster. "Of course. Don't worry, our needlework mistress in very kind, and it's only once every two days. I am Merissa of Mount Jacine, and I am the First Daughter of the convent. You may come to me when you need guidance, but the only times you'll be sent to me is when you are in trouble, and when you are going to leave. So, make sure you're only sent once, when you are to depart. Please excuse me, for a moment," she said kindly, then got up and opened the door, speaking quickly to someone on the otherside.
Soon afterwards, she re-entered the room, followed by a young girl that looked to be twelve or thirteen. She stood with the same posture as teh First Daughter, and wore a simple but expensive gown of a pale blue cotton. "This is Leila of Sterre River," Merissa said to Lianne, "She will show you around. Please, do go and settle in. I have only boring amtters to discuss with Lady Isabel."

Lianna watched as Merissa, the First Daughter of the convent, walked out of the room. Her blue eyes wandered about the room, taking it all in. The door opened on again, and Merissa re-entered the room with a young girl a few years older than Lianna herself.
"This is Leila of Sterre River. She will show you around. Please, do go and settle in. I have only boring amtters to discuss with Lady Isabel."
Lianna nodded and followed the older girl out. Lady Isabel watched her oldest daughter leave then turned back to the First Daughter.
"Lianna also has the Gift, mainly in healing. She's learned some control over it, but it needs to be strengthened." she told Merissa.

Merissa nodded, closing the door hat the two youngsters had left by. "Of course," she said, smiling kindly. "We have some of the best mage teachers for young ladies here." She nodded again, as if asserting her words, and sat back down at her desk, spreading her skirts appropriately. "Would you like some tea, Lady Isabel?" the First Daughter of the Convent asked, ringing a bell. Soon a servant came through the door.
It was clear that the servants were not ill treated, this one looking healthy, well fed and well clothed. As the servant curstyed, Merissa gave her quick orders to bring a pot of tea and whatever the visitor liked. "Of course," she added, sitting back in her chair, "Lady Lianne must visit the dressmaker before you leave, milady. Her measurements need to be taken, and the yound ladies always prefer the company of their mothers."

"Wonderful. No doubt she'll be in good hands while she is here. And tea would be wonderful, thank you." she said.
"Lady Lianne must visit the dressmaker before you leave, milady. Her measurements need to be taken, and the yound ladies always prefer the company of their mothers."
"I can arrange that easily...she is growing tall rather quickly for a girl of her age." she said.
Lianna assesed the girl who had led her out of the room. She was a pretty girl, and her dress, although it was cotton, looked expensive and pretty, and it was pale blue and looked like it had been just freshly laundered. She smoothed her own gown unconsciously. She'd been traveling in this gown for almost 6 hours that day, it must've looked horrible. She finally found her voice and spoke.
"I--I'm Lianna of Nond. Where are we going?" she asked softly.

[[I'll NPC Leila for now, although I will put up an application for her later.]]
"I--I'm Lianna of Nond. Where are we going?"
Leila turned to the new girl - Lianna - and smiled reassuringly. She could remember her first day at the convent quite clearly. "I am Leila," she said kindly. "I'm going to show you around, so that tomorrow you won't get lost." She spoke very quickly, but ennunciated her words perfectly so Lianna probably didn't have any trouble amking them out. She was a fairly pretty girl, a blue-eyed brunette lady who looked quick to smile.
"Through here are the rooms. All of us have our own rooms. Did you bring a lady's maid?" she enquired, extracting a small silver key from her clutch bag. They had turned into a wide, spacious corridor lined with doors, each door painted a royal blue.
