Sapphire walked into the garden of Jazz's townhouse. The early morning breeze blew her untidy hair about. She took out her shukusen and threw it up experimentaly. She wandered down to the sunniest and warmest patch of grass and threw the shukusen up once more. Fan toss, a perfect morning for fan toss. She caught the fan with a flourish and smiled.
She mindspoke to Jazz, 'Hi, up for a game of fan toss?' she twirled her fan around and waited for her friend to reply. She tossed the fan up and breathed in the fresh air.

Of course, Fhire, I'll be out in a minute.
Jasmin smiled to herself as she walked up to her room. She'd sensed her friend's presence, and Sapphire knew she wouldn't say no. Fan toss was a wonderful 'game' for clearing the mind and for focusing. She hadn't played it in a long time, and she could wield a shukusen without straining herself. She yanked the door open and quickly stepped into soft boots, and pulled on a jersey to ward off the chilly morning. Grabbing her own shukusen as a 'just in case' from the rack, she walked down the hallway and out into the garden.
The Carmine Townhouse gardens were huge and well-tended. In the center, there was a wide open space that was perfect for the game. Fhire had already found it. She hugged her friend in greeting, smiling. "Hello," she said, "How are things?" She hooked her shukusen onto her belt and stretched her arms experimentally. She'd been sorting out the transport arrangements for the up coming delegation, and this was a welcome break.

Sapphire grinned as Jazz walked towards her. "So you ready for, dun dun dun, tossing a highly dangerous, razor covered fan into the air?" She twirled her fan in the air and threw it to Jazz. She loved the game. Even if it involved highly dangerousw razor covered fans. It cleared her head and got her to see things straight. When it was in the air, the razors shone brightly and cleared Fhire's mind. She watched as teh fan spun in the air and smiled.
It was good to be getting some fresh air

"So you ready for, dun dun dun, tossing a highly dangerous, razor covered fan into the air?"
"I'm always ready, my dear friend."
Jazz was a fighter. She could tell by Fhire's stance that she was going to start, so she caught it with ease. The sun glinted off the sharp razors, the blue-rippled steel glaring brightly. She turned it over, admiring the blue silk. "This is new," she commented airily, before tossing it back to Sapphire. Her entire body was now aware and alert. She was balanced on the balls of her feet, anticipating Sapphire's throw.
Jasminai had many weaknessess, but there was one she tried her best to keep under wraps: an atraction to danger. She loves to feel the thrill of dangerous situations, and can be very reckless when she isn't in control of herself. Sapphire was right. The game was extremely dangerous, and should only be attempted by experts. Unskilled playes could lose a finger, even kill someone. And she was loving every second.

Katya slipped out of her still warm bed, light flooded into the room. The curtains where still open from the night before, she had been far too tired to do anything after healing Claw on the boat. She wiped sleep from her groggy eyes. Hearing a noise from below, Katya stuck her head out of the window. Sapphire and Jazz where playing an early morning game of fan toss, it must have been that that had woken her up. Katya had always been a light sleeper. "Morning Angels." She croaked down to them, her eyes slits, not yet used to the bright sunlight. She wished they had not chosen this morning to throw, she could've done with a lot more sleep. That was by the by now though, she was awake and it was doubtful wether she could get back to sleep. Not bothering to don shoes, she walked down the stairs, grateful to the rugs that sometimes made her path a lot warmer. Once downstairs she made for the garden too, although she did not try to join in the shukusen untill they had both fully realised she was their, a lot of nasty accidents happened when the thrower was not aware of your presence, and Katya was certainly not in the mood for healing.

((Hate to break it to ya, but we are in Corus.))
"Morning Angels."
"Hey Katya," Fhire said distractidly as she caught the fan, "Do you want to join us?" She smiled at Katya and threw the fan with an intericate movement to Jazz. Watching the fan she felt a familiar sense of calm. Fan toss was perfect, and more fun with three players. It also was a great way to exersise without exersising.
"Don't you think fan toss should become a national sport? It should be played regularly, at jousting tournements or something." She said, or rather thought, out loud.

((OOC; HAHAHA! *rolls eyes* i do that a lot... sorry)) BCC:
Katya watched them for a moment, then lay down on the grass and closed her eyes. Her eyelids felt warm as the morning sun caught them, There was still a little dew in the grass and rather un pleasant bugs where making there way into her hair, but she ignored them. She was too tired to care. "Hey Katya," Fhire said distractidly as she caught the fan, "Do you want to join us?" Smiling Katya sat up again, her eyelids did not want to open. "I'd Love to." She replied, glancing at the fan as she did so, making sure it was not being thrown to her. It flew past her in Jazz's direction. "Don't you think fan toss should become a national sport? It should be played regularly, at jousting tournements or something." Katya examined her toe nails, she suspected this was more of a spoken thought than a question.

Jazz shook her head, taking in her sister's tired state. "Hello, Kat," she said, "I'm sorry if we woke you. I know you're a light sleeper." She smiled apologetically. She was going to ask Katya to join them when Fhire did, and the fan came whirling at her. She caught it easily, refraining to throw it back before her sister was ready. She shrugged at Sapphire's suggestion. "Perhaps in the Islands. It isn't even a Tortallan game. I suppose we could have them play it, but we're so good we forget less skilled players can wound themselves fatally, much more their team members," she replied. "Oi, Katya!"
She called to her youngest sibline to make sure that she was attentive, then sent the shukusen spinning towards her. It was fun, true, but too dangerous to be a national sport. She smiled absent-mindedly. Yamani ladies could play it unprepared and wearing a kimono; yet they were considered to be simply pretty faces to some. It was scarily ironic.

Sapphire considered this, "As true as that is, it still should be a sport. We could win. And that wouldn't be half bad. Why are you being so philisophical so early in the morning anyway? Doesn't it give you a headache?" she rubbed her eyes, still groggy from just waking up, she watched as the shukusen flew, "Or they could play without the razor-sharp edges of doom." she said refering back to her previous point.
Sapphire was in an odd mood. She was tired and groggy. The peace talk preparations were tiring and she could have used some sleep.

Katya yawned loudly. Hello, Kat," she said, "I'm sorry if we woke you. I know you're a light sleeper." Smiling, she sat up, and rubbed her eyes. "It's ok, I would've woken up soon anyway." Katya caught the fan Jazz threw to her, and passed it back to Fhire. She stretched her arms, then lay back down on the grass, waiting for the shukusen to come back to her. She was not particularly interested in her friends' conversation about the game, but decided to join in anyway. "As true as that is, it still should be a sport. We could win. And that wouldn't be half bad. Why are you being so philisophical so early in the morning anyway? Doesn't it give you a headache?" she rubbed her eyes, still groggy from just waking up, she watched as the shukusen flew, "Or they could play without the razor-sharp edges of doom." "Wouldn't that take all the fun out of it?" She asked "It's more fun when it needs more skill."

"True," she said as she caught the shukusen with a twirl, "Skill!" she said with a grin as she threw it to Jazz, she watched as the shukusen spun and the colours in the fabrics caught the light.
"You nervous about the trip?" she asked both Jazz and Kat, "I can't wait." she was looking forward to the upcoming trip. She couldn't wait to go back. She let the rays of the sun warm her as she flopped on the grass and waited for her turn.
