Character Rules[/u][/size]
1) Yes, you guessed. No Mary-Sues, or Gary-Stus. If we tell you that your character is on the perfect side, we aren’t insulting you. Perfect, indestructable characters are not fun to RP with. Well rounded characters are fun to play on both sides, and really improve character development as well as actual role-playing. But please, please, have flaws, otherwise we can’t accept you.
2) No pitching the Admins against each other. We trust each other’s opinions, so please don’t whine to another Admin if one of us haven’t accepted your character. If you have a problem, take it up with the Admin in question, or post in the help board.
3) Be realistic. Please. A ten-year-old can’t be the Greatest Mage Ever. Stick to canon. There isn't much more that can be said in this department; it's pretty obvious.
4) Don’t take on more characters than you can handle, or ignore one of them. We have no character limit here on VT, but if you have more than three make sure you aren't neglecting any. Especially if you sign a char up for a majoy plot, i isn important to stay active and IC.
5) Don’t be conflicting. A character cannot be calm and have a temper. This is more of a guidline, but it's important. Make sure you character is realistic, don't go to extremes. A littl egoes a long way.
6) You can either create an account for each of your characters, or have one account and list your characters and their stats in your signature/CT. If you do create multiple account, try not to post in the wrong one often.
7) Wait for an Admin to approve you character before posting. This is important. If you don't, your post/thread will be deleted and you will be given a warning. If you think we are taking an uneccessarily long time to approve, just post a polite query in your Profile Thread.
8) Don’t make huge changes to an approved character without notifying an admin. Huge changes are things like age, career, personality, status etc. Small things like eye colour, though, are not to be worried about.
9) Don’t argue with us unless you have a valid argument. Simple. If our reasoning is not sufficient, say so, but don't kick up a row.
10) Post to say you’ve edited. If you don't, chances are we won't notice you've edited.
11) Make sure that you reply to everything you need to once your character is approved.
