Prince Heradite looked around the field he had ridden to, followed by 20 man-at-arms. Each man-at-arms were relaxing and joking with each other, for what crazy fool would attack the son of the Queen. That and it was peace time. He smiled, looking through the field, seeing the many people walk.
He knew if war came, he would probably be summoned to lead an army. Or take his brother's spot until he returned, at the dreadful court, and if his brother died, he would be the heir to the throne. But he washed those thoughts away, just seeking to enjoy the field, where no business must be done. He smelled the field, and it smelt like everything was perfect.

(OOC: Since noone is replying...I will reply to my own thread.... ) The prince grinned, as the man-at-arms took down the baskets. Each horse (but the Prince's) had a lunch busket, each filled with the best food on the islands. The prince took out the food, and evenly divided up the food. As one man-at-arms ate while watching out, the other men ate sitting down talking. The prince himself sat near them, and thought about how wonderful this land was. The castle was perfect-not so big that you could easily get lost looking for a toilet. "Prince Heradite" said on of the man-at-arms. The prince looked back, wondering what the man had in mind. It was one of the men sitting down, one who often complained. "Speak man." The prince said. "The ground is uncomfortable." said the man. "Deal with it". The prince said with a sigh. The man needed to learn to stop complaining. Another man spoke, who was also sitting. "A dark time approchaes. I just know it, and he wouldn't have to deal with it anymore, now deal with walking." "Then he would complain of having nothing to do" replied the Prince. With the conversation over, the prince continued to eat. A bird flew over him, no a crow. The crow meant Aly Homewood was near, the spymaster of the kingdom. He groaned, he and her tended to fight over a silly potrait of his grandfather. Prince Heradite just couldn't see how the potrit couldn't be up over the firewall in the living room area, instead on the main entrance.

Heradite rode towards the castle, not wanting another arquement over the potrait. By now she owuld have switched it, he thought to himself, but he had an idea. He would switch it after SHE left. He wondered what was so important, but then the newest current event news was a year ago.
He groaned, hoping the Copper Isles wouldn't have to go and interfere with other governments. He hated when that happened, for they might risk war, and an invasion. In secret, he wished that the Copper Isles was free of the Queen, to do whatever they wanted. In fact, if his brother died, and he became the King, he would make the Copper Isles peaceful.

<Well that's potentially boring for you...>
Mysterious Rogue business had sent Avelia over to the Copper Isles. It was the kind of urgent business that conveniently cropped up whenever she was tired of Tortall. To be truthful, it was boredom that had led her to accept the mission here- the Copper Isles was nothing if not exotic. She could easily have sent someone else but she didn't want herself getting rusty.
She was stationed behind a suit of armour inside the castle- it wasn't very original but it was providing her with a bit of a lookout. Not that anything remotely interesting seemed to be happening- a woman had come in and switched a portrait but that was about it. Just to amuse herself, Avelia had purposely shuffled when the woman reached the door on the way out, but the woman had shown no outward signs of noticing her. Sighing, Avelia moved from behind the armour and sat down on a comfortable looking chair that faced away from the door.

Heradite entered the castle, and immediatly went to the room the mysterious rogue was in. This was after, the visitor's quaters. He then noticed a girl he had never seen before, and he spoke "Speak young maiden, whoa re you, and where is Ally Homewood?" He looked at his nice chair, which was usually his and sighed, as he took a normal chair.
He started to wait for Ally, or otherwise known as Aly of Pirate's Swoop. HE didn't thinkt he mysterious girl was of any importance, probably one of those girls his mom snet him every now and then, to look after him. She never could fiqure out why, they usually ran out screaming as he had been screaming at the.
Still she did look..like Aly. Like she was from Tortall.

"Oh, I'm so sorry m'lord, Prince, your Highness" Avelia said, trembling, jumping from the chair to curtsey. Her eyes were wide in a practiced innocent expression, blue with help of a glamour spell, and her lip trembled. "I didna mean to, I'll get back to work, please, don't sack me. Only I've finished cleaning and I don't know what else to do." Her voice was slightly higher-pitched than normal as if she were a truly terrified servant girl.
She clapped her hand over her mouth. "I don't know your Highness, I was sweeping the fireplace and she came in but she didna see me, it was a while ago already. And I'm Imiary, your Highness."

"Your Highness is not needed. And I have no Imiary under my service, I know, I personally meet each one within minutes of hiring." He said, he couldn't remember her, and he would have remembered her. "What are you here for?" He said, while the spell did hold him to glamour, he still had his common sense and mind.
He sighed, wishing Aly was here. Sure this girl was intresting, and only a spy acted like...suddenly he stood up and took out his sword. He dashed to the girl, and pointed the sword at the beutiful woman. "Who are you and what do you want!" He ordered her to tell him. He had never caught a spy before, but she didnb't act like any of Aly's spies either.

Without missing a beat, Avelia replied with a sweet smile, "So the Prince does have claws of his own, then. But didn't your mother ever tell you never to threaten a lady?" She widened her eyes, looking every bit an innocent serving girl. But the cool appraisal in her eyes suggested a different story.
"I gave you a name. As for what I want, just to have the chance to clean up after your highness," she said in a mock eager tone. She wasn't quite sure whether the man would actually dare attack her, but just in case, she shifted her weight from her heels to the balls of her feet. "I arrived this morning?" she offered.

"Nice try, the next servants arrving will be next week. I suggest you tell me the truth, I heard Aly isn't as nice as I am." He threatened her. "My mother taught me to attack girls when needed." He replied and looked at her in the eye. "Didn't your mother tell you to tell people the truth, inclduing your real name."
It was times like this he loved the fact he had the gift to see wether people were telling trith or not. He managed to keep his sword within distance of the lady's neck, obviouslyt hinking she was a spy. A guard came in, and immediatly called for more gaurds, just in case. The gaurd said to the lady, "Who are you lady, and what do you want?", despite being just a recruit.

"And I'm both nicer and not as nice as your Aly," Avelia said in a silky sweet tone. "Imiary is my real name. When I'm in the Copper Isles, anyway. Besides, my mother's been dead about as long as I've been alive." Avelia couldn't help being evasive, it was just part of her nature. She didn't hold much by her name anyway.
"I'm here because I chose to be. I need to speak with a certain person in your household." As the guard came in, calling for reinforcements, Avelia's smile widened into a true Cheshire grin. "I have to admit it is rather flattering that I can still cause so much chaos just by being here. Last time I met Copper Isles royalty they were begging me to leave."

"I don't want you to leave, I just want to know who you are, and what you are. What is your real name? And who do you need to speak to?" He asked, starting to get more threatening. He was really rude, and in truth he was frusrated. This girl kept being so persuasive, like Aly. Sure he could get around the persuasion by calling a mage, but that would take to long.
The reinforcements started ot come in, each surrouding the mysterious girl, whow as still playing with the prince. The gaurd took a step away, he thought the girl might be bad trouble if they offen her. But then he was just paranoid.

Avelia considered the guards surrounding her with undisguised interest before turning her gaze back to the Prince. "Not that a name is really important considering it's only what someone chooses to call you, but I'm Avelia and I'm a Queen," she said, winking. "And, I need to speak to..." she scanned the guard around her and pointed at the second one to her right. "You. I've a message for you that you might not want all of them to hear me deliver."
The man had a few years ago visited Tortall, and apparently offended a man she knew who had both lots of money and a disturbing ability to hold grudges.

Heradite dismissed all of the gaurds, except for the second one. "Whatever you can tell the gaurd, you can tell me. Make one wrong move, your majesty, and you will be a dead." He mocked her queenship, and her pride. Most queens would slap him,. and be highly offended, but he was testing her out.
The gaurd left was surprised, who was she? He was afraid the Tortall man he had offended was once again after him. He readied his spear, preparing to defend himself if necessart.

"I very much doubt it," Avelia said conversationally, "as you should know, royalty should never be without resources." Her eyes held a mocking laughter, as if she knew something he didn't. The remaining guard looked wary, and Avelia inwardly smiled. That's right. You should be afraid, she thought, almost pityingly.
"He's offended someone that doesn't take such offense lightly," Avelia explained, too cheerfully to be polite. "I'm sure you remember. As such, he's finally decided on his revenge and would love to extract a blood price, monetary or...otherwise." Her tone turned slightly savage.

Rose arrived at Tanair Estates in a timely fashion. She'd left the docks at Lombyn on her black stallion Zeus and had crossed through the dense jungle without problem. She was fascinated by the Raka, whose sight was impressive.
Rose was here on business for the king and queen. They'd sent her on a mission to find and capture the former Lady of Longlake, Cynthia, who was wanted for high treason. Thankfully Cynthia's husband was dead, for Bael had been a powerful mage, blessed with the Black Gods power.
She arrived at the stables and gave Zeus's reins to a hostler before entering the keep. Alanna's daughter, Aly, was now spymaster here and Rose had wanted to speak with her about Cynthia. She heard voices coming from a corridor and thought that perhaps that was the way to Aly's office.
She stopped suddenly outside the door, not in sight of the people who were talking. She heard male voices, not ones that she knew, and a female voice.
"As you should know, royalty should never be without resources."
Rose frowned. That voice was so familiar. Avelia! Whats she doing here? she wondered.
